About EEEP

Our Mission

Our mission is to educate on and spread accurate awareness of current local environmental legislation and policy, both policies in progress and already adopted, for the purpose of furthering concern and youth action for the welfare of our planet.

Our Site

This is a public platform dedicated to informing about unbiased and bipartisan policy, in all branches and aspects of the local government. This will eventually include (but is not limited to) all relevant bills, upcoming court cases, and the positions of elected politicians on climate change and the environment. This information will be written in simple terms and with careful analysis, as this is not a database of environmental policy, but instead a way to raise awareness for environmental legislation, the legislators, and the direct effects of the government in shaping the effects of climate change.

In all aspects of EEEP, our goals remain the same: to spread unbiased and accurate information about legislation impacting the environment and climate change, in order to raise awareness and empower voters.

Jackie Hertz, President and Research Chair

Research Team

The Research team (either individually or in small groups) researches a select bill, topic, or group of people (ie. candidates, representatives, etc.) to add to the site. Topics must be shared ahead of time so that there are no overlaps, unless to update something. Originally, this will be limited to local policy, but as the size of the Research team grows the topics may be expanded to cover environmental policy federally.

Outreach Team

The summary and sources shared by the Research Team will be sent to the Outreach team, who will begin creating promotional posters, social media posts, etc. and distribute them to raise awareness for as many issues as possible. The Outreach Team is responsible for using catchy, effective, and accurate language to inform and inspire.
